Introduction to Molchanovs Wave 4 – Elevate Your Freediving to a Competitive Level
The Molchanovs Wave 4 course marks the start of your journey as a competitive freediver. Designed for those ready to take their skills to the next level, this course provides you with the essential tools, knowledge, and techniques needed to excel in freediving competitions.
You will learn the rules and regulations of competitive freediving, mental strategies to manage performance anxiety and competition stress, and how to design an effective, personalized training plan. Our experienced instructors will also help you refine your mouthfill equalization technique and dive deeper into your overall technique through video analysis.
Safety is a priority in deep freediving. As part of this course, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, including proper oxygen usage to prevent decompression sickness and other injury prevention strategies.

Passing Requirements
Pool Requirements
STA 4 min 30 sec
Complete a Static breath hold of minimum 4 minute and 30 seconds
DYNB 100m
Perform a horizontal dive of 100m using bi-fins
DNF 75m
Perform a horizontal dive of 75m without fins
Open Water Requirements
CWTB & FIM 50m
Perform a comfortable dive to at least 50m by pulling the rope and using bi-fins
CNF 35m
Perform a comfortable dive to at least 35m without fins
CWTB Buddying 30m
Demonstrate correct buddying techniques to a depth of 30 meters
Rescue 30m
Demonstrate correct rescue procedures in freediving emergency scenarios from a depth of 30 meters
Surface Tow 50m
Display correct surface towing technique of a minimum distance of 50m
